Wind Noise On Drivers Door/window

Recommended Posts

I have the same problem with my '04 CS. Dealer has been unable to fix on two occasions. I have kinda given up because the dealer's service dept sucks and I don't have time to spend on it. Does annoy me whenever I think about it!!!

Hello

I just picked up last weekend.

Has anyone experience "Wind Noise" coming from the top part of the drivers side window (or any other window)?

Any feedback would be appreciated

I have found the problem :(

The outer edge weatherseal has lifted up on the edge of the door.

It actually looks warped as by the sun.

This is why the door is not sealing all the way when shut and letting the air come in..

Dealer visit next week. I'll let you know what they think..

Other problems the dealer will deal with:

- compartment under Drivers Seat is not closing properly. It looks like the plastic teeth have stress fractures.

- The wipers are very loud against the glass .. Too much friction...Leaving black marks on the glass .. (any ideas?)

  • 2 weeks later...

Theres is a service action related to wind noises from the upper part of the door, its a redesigned trim panel that goes in the upper rear most portion of your door frame.

If your trim underneath the drivers seat isnt fitting properly, they should be able to get you a new one under warranty.

Theres also a service action related to windshield wipers deteriorating quickly so they should be able to replace those for you.
