Is there anyone that can help me reset my airbag light on my 97 Boxster. Im in Sussex County NJ. Does anyone know if by disconnecting the battery will it reset the airbag light. Is it something stored in the computer or cluster that activates the light? Thank you in advance for your consideration!

The airbag light cannot be reset by disconnecting the battery.

It can only be reset with a PST2, PIWIS, or Durametric.

Also, before you disconnect the battery in the future, make sure that you have your radio code.

I'm on Long Island and have a Durametric and I could reset it for you anytime if you happen to travel this way.

P.S. What color is your '97?

Thank you Maurice. I will definately get in touch with you. Would you be available in the first week of April? I have a silver Boxster with black interior. Luckily I have the code for the radio so that wasnt a problem. Thank you again Maurice!
