Radio Stuck On

Recommended Posts

05 Boxster S with 50k.

The stock radio sometimes gets stuck on and I have to take out the fuse to turn it off. If I turn off the key it goes off but when I put the key in again it turns on no volume control, not able to change stations, can't change functions ie to cd to radio etc... nothing. If I pop the fuse out and back in it is all happy again with no security code required. Anyone have any ideas... This has happened about 6 times in the last year not too many but enough.

Thanks,

Andrew

Hello,

I had that problem on my Boxster 2008 (CDr 24) and i tried to

remove the fuse and that helped for a while.

But a Porsche tech told me to remove the Minus battery cabel and leave

it off for ten minutes end then put ut back on the battery...

and i have never had the radio problem since

Best Regards,

I have an '08 Boxster S that did the same thing when I drove it home from the dealer... issue turns out to be defective radio. Dealer remove and replaced the fuse, did a hand-off with PIWIS. That "fixed" the problem for a while, a couple months later the radio wouldn't turn-on. Took to dealer 2nd time and they replaced the unit. Apparently the CDR-24 issues are fairly common. G'luck.
