remote locking signals

Recommended Posts

I just got the 99 911 Cab and am not familiar with some of its nuances (doesn't help that I didn't get an owner's manual). Upon remote locking, the taillights flash twice which is just like the Boxster I'm familiar with. But many times it also lets out a single horn beep. What's it trying to tell me? Thanks (and to all with advice about the window polish, earlier)

Usually it means that it did not arm properly because the was something that was not close (trunk, engine comparment...) In my case, most of the time it is the console between the seats that has not been "slammed" properly.

On my 01 tt, the horn beep means that you have pushed the button twice and it deactivates the interior motion sensor (located in the dome light cluster).
