Hi there,

The roof lid on my 2008 Boxster is slightly raised on one side when the roofs open, could someone let me know how to adjust it so this doesn't happen?

Hi there,

There are two adjustments possible:

1. With the clamshell in the rearmost raised position (45 degrees), take a look at the rail where the tip of the clamshell normally ends up when the clamshell is completely closed down. You will see a small, rectangular plastic part that has a + and a - sign on it. Sliding the top of the that part towards the rear increases the height of the overall part, causing the tip of the clamshell to sit a little higher. Just slide the part so that its overall height is lower and that may be enough.

2. Follow the body-colored support arm that is bolted to the underside of the clamshell, and that terminates in a steel ball that slides that presses into a black plastic slider (which in turn slides in a horizontal channel just above the V-levers). On the inboard side of where the steel ball goes through the bottom of that support arm, you will see a slotted screw head with a 10mm nut around it. If you loosen that nut and then rotate the slotted screw, the bottom of the support arm will move in a circle, up and down. Once you have made the adjustment, tighten the nut to lock the position in place.

Let us know how you make out, maybe with some pics for future posters with this adjustment. ;)

Regards, Maurice.
