Could anyone please help and solve my mystery , Ive found a small plastic part on my garage floor from beneath my rhd 1997 2.5l Boxster. The clip is approx 2" in length and appears to have snapped off from the rear third of the car.

The part has the number 996.504.691.00 embossed on it. I've searched but can't see where it has come from has anyone any idea what it can be. Many thanks Apt.

Part number changed to: 999.507.657.09 Floor Cover Clip (6 per car) -- US MSRP $0.87 each
