Complete confusion on PCM versions - 2004 Cay Turbo

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to follow all the different version of PCM mentioned on forums, but still confused. I am missing the Nav CDs, so I was thinking of getting something from eBay etc.

When i do the MAIN + TRIP buttons and get :

This does not look similar to the screens i have seen elsewhere on the net. Should I do something more to get further details?

Ps! I have in my service papers an item at one check which is called "III Programming".

You have PCM2.0, which (as you know) uses CD maps. You also have the latest operating system software, Version 3.0. This means that you can use any PCM2.0 maps dated 2005 or later. Porsche have recently released the 08.2009 maps for Europe. Better late than never, I guess.

From MY2005 the Cayenne was fitted with the DVD-based PCM2.1 system. That is cars manufactured after 1st September 2004.

Erik, could you possibly remember who you borrowed the maps from so that I might try to get mine going as well? I know it has been a few years but that is what forum searches get me...older posts. So any help from anyone on the forum would be a great help to get my old PCM2.0 going again. I have a '04 CTT as well. Build date is May 2003.

I have a 2004 CTT with about 77K miles here in MIami. Just finished getting some work done it (including a leak in the passenger footwell that I will post about later). I have the original CD maps and wanted to get newer versions. Is there a list of the map revisions that someone can forward me (what I am looking for is the latest version)

I am assuming that eBay is the best place to get them, however I am open to other suggestions/ideas.

Thanks - Steve
