Arctic Silver vs Aluminum look trim

Recommended Posts

Hi All

I've got a facelift 996 with some sliver trim on the centre airvents slats. I'm trying to figure out what the acutal colour is so that I can get the side airvent slats painted to match. Any tips on how I can do this?

Thanks!

Those vent slats are Alumalook. It's not an easy formula to match. We've done it for years, but we won't paint a/c vent slats. The film build is the issue. If they are painted now, and you need them to be re-done, they may have too much material on them once completed (if done right) and then they won't move correctly.

We do most of the other interior parts in any finish, including alumalook. Feel free to email me.

Here's a 996 Turbo interior we did a few years ago, all Alumalook:

The Alumalook trim looks great. It would certainly help lift the interior of most 996s which have the black leather trim.

Thanks for the info about painting the air vents.

I found out that Arctic Silver is a brighter colour than the Alumimum look btw
