Check Engine and Idle Troubles

Recommended Posts

Last night, out of the blue my 2004 Cayenne Turbo, decided to light up the Check Engine, right after I've noticed a strange vibration and shaking of the engine at Idle speed. :lightbulb:

Also, that shaking is present when the car is moving off in D, without acceleration.

When driving normally, everything works fine, acceleration etc. Just when engine is idling, it shakes strangely.

Did this ever happened to someone else ?

@StealthTT, if you are reading this, I will give you a call next week, and maybe, if you have some spare time, we can check this with your tester :)

Do not drive the vehicle if the check engine light is flashing. You really need to find the cause of your faults.

I was under the impression the check engine light only related to emissions performance codes? Doesnt the dash warning display deal with engine performance related malfunctions? I got a CEL for no reason at all this morn. and the vehicle was running superbly. I removed and re-tightened the gas cap and pulled fuses 9,10,11,& 15 in the underhood fuse panel. It went away and never came back-
