Front Mats OEM/Lloyd

Recommended Posts

I'm probaby the only one who hasn't had a concern w/the OEM mat retention velcro/disc set-up but now it's time for new fronts and need to know how the replacement Lloyds are working out. I understand they have some sort of teher set-up that holds 'em in place? And how is this retained? Any feeback is appreciated.

Thanks,

Denny

I recently bought them and they are excellent, good construction and eapecially the retainers that are clips that don't come undone under your feet. Grabted they are a bit more expensive but IMO well worth it. Clips are like those found on back packs.

Very happy with mine...mat/carpet quality is very high and the latch mechanism holds the mats firmly in place with no movement whatsoever. I would buy these again in a heartbeat. I found the initial set up of the latch to be somewhat less than intuitive, but had no difficulties once I read the directions. I also like that the clips are virtually invisible once installed.

I am a big fan of the Lloyd matts. When I owned a boxster, I purchased interior matts and one for the rear trunk. The quality is far superior to the OEM. It also feels more comfortable to the feet. My 996 purchased this past summer already came with Lloyd matts. I don't know how old they are, but feel thicker and heavier than the OEM. I would definately recommend them.
