that can help me figure out the problem i am having. I need a drawing to help illustrate how this thing fits into the loop.

I have read through numerous threads here and on other forums. The one big "Dension Install" with pictures is nice but.............is almost 4 years old and the Dension unit is the older model with only 1 port for the fiber optics.

I have been talking to Eric at Bumperplugs, who has patiently been trying to work with me on getting this thing to work. This install has been a 2 day project with taking apart connectors and swapping them around and trying every possible configuration.

I keep getting the "system error: amp not available"

It would be nice to see how others were able to avoid this error

Hi

it sounds like you have accidentally broken the optical loop.

Have you cheked all the connections?

The optical loop needs to work just like that, a great big loop, think of it as a highway with only one way traffic that goes around in a circle.

I found the install instructions from dension excellent, I had mine up and running in about 30 minutes, with the BTA1500 bluetooth.

I did not have a cd changer though, so i didn't need to remove it from the loop.

I definately sounds like the loop is broken somewhere.

I also assume you are talking about the gateway 500? you didn't actually tell us.

Cheers and good luck

DS
