New Tires and Mileage

I have a 2006 S with standards 18" wheels (no TPMS). I changed out from Bridgestones to General Grabbers HTS (255-55-18) and now my mileage has dropped off more than a mile per gallon. I was getting a little over 16.5 MPG with the Bridgestones (Potenzas) and the new Generals seem to be getting me about 14.7MPG. Any ideas why? Thanks.

It also looks pretty innocuous as far as tread detail goes so I did not think it had a rolling resistance any worse than the Bridgestones.
