i want to paint the lower portion of my outside rear view mirrors. i saw that it was a techquipment option that i could easily do. however, have no idea how to dismantle the lower portion of my outside rear view mirrors. Anybody care to share how its done. Thanks guys. i just want to be neat with the job and i dont think it can be done with the lower portion of the mirrors installed.

as always brother loren to the rescue. thank you. one other question, it seems that the key is removing the mirror. Are there any caution remarks regarding removing the mirror? what i know is to just put it on the edge using the swithc and gently pulling out. is it that simple? i might damage something. is putting it back simply pushing it back in?

apologies loren are you saying there are screws that need to be removed before removing the mirror glass? number 9 confuses me. screws to remove for the mirror motor and plastic covers, plastic pry tools to remove the mirror, is this correct?
