unknown color

I have a Porsche Boxster 2005 (type 987) with a "strange" color. The car is a silver/grey with a little green in it - called "W57 Happy Day - Metallic" (door sticker, see photo). The VIN# says L999 color code. The car was build in 2005 for the Porsche company itself for some kind of special occasion/anniversary. It was used by Porsche gmbh until it was sold in late 2007 for the first time.

I've contacted the dealer network in the Netherlands for more info about the color (because the W57 code isn't found in the database) and the occasion/anniversary this Porsche Boxster was build for. Not a clue... Maybe someone here has a clue about the special occasion/anniversary it was build for and the color.

You have been able "paint to sample" with Porsche for quite a few years. That is, you supply Porsche a sample of the color you want on your car and they match that best they can and paint your car that color. In most cases the car was delivered with 1 liter of touch-up pain to match.

That would be my guess.
