Hi, was wondering if i could get anybody's advice on this. I went to put the top down on my 2002 cab and suddenly it will not open. I've had this car for 6 years and have never had any issues with the top opening or closing.

The latch will hook and unhook when i turn the key in the door or use the button inside the car but the convertible compartment lid does not move at all. The hand brake and convertible top lights both illuminate.

Is there a fuse that is specific to the compartment lid that i should check or something? Thanks in advance for any help you guys could give me.

Hi there,

Could be fuse,

Its located in footwell. On my car its the fourth row of fuses, third on in from the left which is a 30A fuse.

Have a look, could be an easy fix.

Otherwise could be mean getting it seen to by a someone that knows.

There are so many things that could be an issue, Hydraluic fluid running low, fuse blown, motor gone etc.

I take it, that the roof is up at the moment then.

Hi guys thanks for the replys. I've checked the fuses and the engine latch and both were fine. I was thinking it could be low hydrolic fluid but would that really cause the the clamshell not to operate at all? And yes, it is stuck in the closed position.
