Ignition Woes

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I'm new to the Porsche world with my recent purchase of a 99 Porsche Boxster.... I love her and am anxious to move up to say the least... I'm looking for help to an ignition problem I'm having recently. I've been having trouble inserting and removing the key lately and now it feels like the ignition full forward motion is missing and the car won't start. I have sourced a second hand one and installed it but still no go! I'm aware of the immobilizer cct but have come to the conclusion it's the switch at the end of the unit. If I replace the one from the original ignition with the one from the 2nd hand one I have will I still need to get the keys reprogrammed?

Any help here will be greatly appreciated.

All the Best to you all....
