Replacement Cabrio top cost

Recommended Posts

I have some questions...

How many times a day/week do you run your top up and down...

Have you had the top replaced? What was the cost, are you happy with the job...who did it (dealer or indie)

Have you used a "treatment" on it to keep it in better shape?

What did you use and do you think it helped.

Daniel

I have a 99 C4 cabriolet. I purchased the car with a replacement GAHH top with a rear glass window and defroster. Great quality top. I had a Boxster in the past and also purchased a top from GAHH. There prices are reasonable. If you call them, they will provide you with the names and numbers of local dealers they approve. If you use these dealers, the top and any repairs are approved under their warranty.

a buddy of mine just replaced the top on his 2000 Cab. He paid about $450 for the top made with the German Hartz (sp) cloth and a soft rear window. the install at a local shop cost about $750. Nice job and looks grat.

I have an '04 C4S. The softtop has a glass window, and I also have the removable hardtop. I put the hardtop on in October and take it off in May or June. During June - September I probably put the top up and down once or twice a day. It is definitely showing some creases and a little bit of wear. I wash the top every month or so in the summer. I don't treat it with anything but keep feeling like I should. I am guessing I'll be in the market for a new top in 3-5 years, but that's partly because I'd like to get a different color.
