Rear Spoiler Not functioning Properly

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

The driver side of the rear spoiler stop going up (passenger side still works) on the way home after my 30k service on the 2004 996TT. No problem going there. Is it possible that when the shop services the car (like changing the plugs) had to disconnect something and forgot to reconnect?

For now, what is the best way to just disable the spoiler from going up when it reach 75mph?

Thanks.

TMK, if the spoiler was disconnected then none of it would move. It is possible the ram is failing or needs fluid (do a search on spoiler hydraulics). Do you have any codes?

You can use the rocker switch to manually control the spoiler or pull fuse D7 (which also affects the bonnet).

With the rocker switch on the dash, it also only can raise the passenger side (driver side will not move) so putting a lot of pressure trying to raise only one side. For now, I just wanted to disable it so I am looking for a easy (best way) to not let the spoiler raise automatically when it reach 75 mph.

If I pull fuse D7, will it affect the convertible top operation? If so, what other way I have to disable to spoiler?
