P1276 and P1126 CEL

Recommended Posts

A cel recently came on and when I popped in the durametrics it read:

Porsche fault code 22 - Oxygen sensor ageing Delay bank 2 below limit value

Porsche fault code 356 - Multiplic. mixture adapt. lower load range B.1:

What do these readings mean? I'm assuming I need to replace an o2 sensor?

P1126 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Lower Load Range, Bank 1 - Above Limit or Below Limit

Possible causes:

- Incorrect signal from MAF sensor

- Fuel pressure too high

- Fuel injector fouled

P1276 Signal Delay Time for Oxygen Sensor Aging, Bank 2 – Above/Below Limit

Possible causes:

– Oxygen sensor ahead of TWC

– Leak ahead of TWC or in the area of the oxygen sensor after TWC

– Wiring (oxygen sensors exchanged)

I would fix the P1126 first and then reset the codes and see if any come back.
