Need Help: O2 Sensing Adaption DTC's

Recommended Posts

2001 Carrera 4 is intermittently throwing the DTC's below. It seems to happen when the car has been running for a while and I'm trapped in stop and go traffic. I've cleaned MAF, but it is the original. What should I check/what are possible causes?

Codes:

Generic Powertrain P1130 Oxygen Sensing Adaption, Idle Range

Bank 1: P1128 Oxygen Sensing Adaption

Bank 2: P1130 Oxygen Sensing Adaption

Fuel System:

Bank One Closed Loop Fuel System Status. Short Term Fuel Trim Bank One -7.02 % Long Term Fuel Trim Bank One 10.14 %

Bank Two Closed Loop Fuel System Status. Short Term Fuel Trim Bank Two -4.68 %; Long Term Fuel Trim Bank Two 7.80 %

Enhanced powertrain analysis shows nothing abnormal.

Thanks in advance for help.

:welcome:

Look also for an intake air leak.

Could be at the manifold or AOS.

Numerous topics here about testing for air leaks and AOS problems - please give out search a try.

Thankms, Loren. It was dumb not to try search. I could've answered my own question. Hopefully it's "just" the MAF....
