COMFORT Settings Auto-Reset Issues

Recommended Posts

2004 Cayenne Turbo

I can browse through my COMFORT settings and make appropriate changes. I learned that to save the changes, you have to turn the key off and press the lock button. I've done this and the settings have changed, although a few days will go by and the settings will all automatically revert back to default. The Auto-Lock feature really drives me insane!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Thanks!

I replaced the main vehicle battery, as well as the battery in my keyfob.

Everyone once in awhile the key will be in my pocket or sitting on the console and I will hear a beep and see "Key not recognized by vehicle" on the display.

I think this is when my COMFORT settings get reset.

It's been driving me nuts.

I suspect that it is a car equipped with Kessy system, try this: drop the dummy key and use the normal key to start the engine and drive the car, if the problem no longer occurs, the remote control is weakening. The distance between the receiver (ignition) and the remote should always be made smaller, initially, the problem is the battery in the remote but over the years using the remote itself becomes weakened.

I have the same issues as Molitoth and just kind of wrote it off.

RFM - are you saying to solve a new remote is required (fresh batteries don't help)?

Separate, but wonder if it's related, Homelink system for the garage doors also seem to be weaker

Indeed, but try the spare key also first out.
