Air Suspension Question - 2010 Cayenne GTS

I don't know if this is normal or not........

After stopping the Cayenne (the susepnsion selector was in the 'normal' position vs. Sport or Comfort), we stopped the car and got out. We then opened and closed the rear hatch. After about 10 minutes, while milling around the car, I suddendly heard the sound of air being released (lasted a couple of seconds) and watched the front end of the GTS slowly drop about a inch. Don't know if the back went down, as I was just stunned.

This is the wifes car, and I do not recall ever seeing/hearing this before. No error codes. Everything appears normal.

Is this normal operation for the Cayenne air suspension?
