Fan for Gemballa GT spoiler and deck lid?

Heya

So I have searched around and seen differing opinions on this, but I wanted to see what the community here had to say. I have a Gemballa GT spoiler and decklid for my 996 c4. Fit and finish are great. My question is this... Does the fan from the original deck lid need to be used? The way the decklid and spoiler are designed allow for much better airflow and circulation than the regular deck lid. I have seen people say it does and others say it does not. I am not opposed to using the fan (would need to make a mount for it ) but I would like your thoughts.
