MAF cleaning

I have read the other posts regarding MAF cleaning on a 955 cayenne turbo but do you actually have to take the maf apart to clean it or can you just spray CRC MAF cleaner through the MAF filter screens onto the diode that I see when I look into it or is there a diode hidden higher up that can't be cleaned unless you take the whole thing apart. Thanks.

Do not disassembly the sensor just spray into the venturi section of the sensor. Spray on the diode will do nothing.

I personally think cleaning the unit will not solve any issues and might even cause a fault. If there is a problem with the MAF sensor just replace it.
