Hi-

Just got my Targa detailed today. When I went to pick it up a the end of the day, the guys at the shop couldn't close the targa lid. On occasion I have had this problem, but have always been able to hold the hatch down and press the button to reset. Not this time.

Can anyone help me identify if there is a fuse that can quickly reset? Or other possible work around - until I can get to the mechanic later this week.

Im heading out of town and cant close the lid: fear of rain, or dead battery is really a possibility!

Any help would be huge-

Thanks!

I have Targa also and have had intermittent issues with the lid. For me, it was the micro switches in the Close Assist Assembly (.....the mechanism which opens the lid and locks it into place when closing). The micro switch got stuck in the down(closed) position which confuses the roof/lid module. One thing that worked for me when it got stuck in this position was to close the roof and disconnect the main battery and reconnect. This seemed to clear the error codes in the module and lid would then close. If this doesn't work, you might try to locate the micro switch by looking down into the hold where the lid latch enters the Close Assist and toggle it carefully with small screw driver. It might be stuck in the down position so targa module thinks the lid is already closed.

One last point, I have a Durametric Pro cable and using latest S/W. The S/W is unable to detect the Targa module. I sent data log to Durametric per their request (...an easy thing to do within the Durametric S/W) and they confirmed that there is bug in S/W. They indicated this might be fixed on one of the future S/W releases. I really hope so as it would really help diagnose micro switch problems.
