I am considering a 2011 C2S and If i go through with the purchase i'd like to install a GT3 steering wheel and possibily seats and suspension. Is this possible? If so, where can i order the OEM GT3 parts? If anyone has the part numbers that would be very helpful.

Thanks

:welcome:

The steering wheel and seats will be easy but the suspension will depend on what suspension option is already on your car.

There are at least 4 different options of steering wheels for the GT3 (without adding in the leather color option) so you will need to be more specific.

The deep bucket (racing style) seats are not a US option so you would likely need to buy those in Europe as GT2 seats. Gert Carnewal likely has what you need (http://www.carnewal-europe.com).

Hi Loren

Thanks for the reply. The only options the car has is infotainment pack, leather and comfort pack. The GT3 wheel i am interested in is all alcantra w/o any multifunction controls.

I will take a look at the website. The racing style GT3 seats are very nice.

Thanks

The car i am considering purchasing is CPO's and at a dealership. Should i require they run a diagnostic test to check for over rev's? Do they check that through the ECU?

The diagnostics are run at the dealership with a Porsche PIWIS or PIWIS2 tester. It can diagnose, report, program options and updates in all the cars control modules. The over revs are kept in the DME (ECU) but it is just one of many reporting modules.

Yes, you can request the printed copy of the diagnostics report - though that is not required by the CPO agreement.

Never hurts to ask - it would be more concerning if they chose to not give that to you.

Ok thank you for the information. I will be sure to request the diagnostics test print out. Is it safe to assume Porsche would not CPO the car if there were any mechanical problems? Or not so much... This car only has around 6k miles.

Okay so the dealer is getting me a report of the diagnostic test. Does anyone know if the 2011 C2S comes with an LSD stock? The only options the car has is the infotainment system package and comfort package.

Also should the carfax or autocheck show when the car was serviced? It is only showing when the car was titled (5 miles) and then sold to auction (5,800 miles which is what the car has now) presumably when the owner traded it in.
