Do 997 headlights fit 996 fenders?

Does anyone know if the 997 headlights will fit the 996 fenders (I realize that body work will need to happen as they are different shapes, etc. I also know that I will need the new trays and turn signals but I wanted to know if I can save the oem fenders. Also, is the gas door different in the 996 vs the 997? in case I go the OEM 997 fender route?
