Hey Guys,

 

I am brand new to Porsche and have no idea where to start. I come from BMW and the BMW aftermarket. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for learning how to code the ECU (Or DME, whichever it's called.) I would like to investigate how to disable fault codes and things like that as well as possibly tuning.

 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure what type of "coding" you intend to do, but your options are limited.  The Durametric Pro system is capable of low level coding on the Porsche DME, as well as being the most reasonably priced aftermarket Porsche specific diagnostic system.  Beyond that, you are going to get into serious money for either a PST II or PIWIS OEM system.  The PST II was Porsche's early OEM system, which was replaced by the more sophisticated PIWIS system.
