What's this and why doesn't my cd changer work?

Recommended Posts

We just recently acquired a 08 CTT and I can't get the rear cd changer or head unit one to work. It has this aux usb cord in glove box but I can't get any sound out of it even when I set head unit on AUX. I also have a iPhone 4 fat blade style cord in glove box.

I did buy a white and red RCA to 3.5mm jack to plug in to my phone and did get it to work however I can't close the glove box.

Does anyone have any input?

So my guess is the previous owner installed an aux/USB setup.  Many of these systems means removing the changer from the fiber optic network and replacing it with this.

See if you put it on CD changer, if that little box activates and or does something.

when i do put it on cd changer the box works with rca cables however i cant close the glove box.. i have not been able to get the aux cable to work though

Just a follow up in looking at this again as i was looking on my phone. i looks like the switch on the front there is your toggle switch. if you try to move it back and forth 3 times it may disengage the unit and allow your CD changer to work. I would find a way however to add A2DP to this setup by add ing a Kinovo BTC450 unit to the setup.
