Hello Friends

 

its been a year now I've had the Psm warning show up on the cluster. I started by going on the net. I went to the dealership to have the dme flashed. The Psm warning came back. Changed dme it came back again. 

Changed valve body. Shifting became better.

when Psm comes on again the shifting is bad between 2-3 and in traffic 2-3, a lot of jerking.

in the am, when psm light is on the idle fluctuates alot.

 

the codes when the cel is on are O2 related.

 

when Psm is on its p0102 related to an air leak.

 

my mechanic cleaned mafs.

 

i love my cayenne and it has 90000 miles wanna keep it until 140000 at least.

 

my feeling at this point is that it might be throttle body throwing off psm.

 

any ideas?

PSM is a tricky thing. On my first cayenne the shop changed so many parts and nothing helped. Just my experience, many times its related with electric faults. Low battery, some wires which get spoiled on the drivers floor or passenger floor because of water.

So many different reason. Just today i had a look into the engine bay because check engine light and PSM warning came on. Found a small crack in a vacuum hose which i replaced temporary with a silicon tube.

P0102 is maf sensor low voltage (low air flow basically) check wiring and connectors, clean sensors if no luck consider replacements. 

Yes this can cause psm warning like a whole load of other weird things, but as you got a code and rough idle as it pop the psm it very likely air flow related. 

Or just try driving around with them disconnected and see if the psm pops up or not or when rough idle starts pull the connectors off the maf's.
