Battery Issue - Replaced; Dealer Won't Warranty

Recommended Posts

Hello
I have been having the usual battery issues with my 2008 Cayenne TT. Hard steering on first start up, intermittent headlight faults, hard starting and the tailgate not opening when the battery is low. Tried charging the battery overnight and it still wont charge always sits below 12 V.
Took the battery to Porsche as it still under warranty and asked for a replacement. They tested and said nothing was wrong with the battery. Took the battery to Napa to have them load test it, and they said it didn't pass.
Replaced with a NAPA legend premium AGM. Since then all my issues have disappeared.
I took the Porsche battery back to Porsche and ask them to test it one more time, and they still say there's nothing wrong with the battery.
I would like to escalate this issue to Porsche Canada but I'm not sure how that can be done. Does anyone have any experience when dealing with the dealer and their parts counter with such an issue?

Did I miss some post's or was that being disingenuous. Lol

If its of any help (probably not) I find when dealing with the dealership, not necessarily Porsche mind, it always more fruitful to approach the service or department highest  manager and also drop a few key words in there like "consumer regulatory authority" and "dealership franchise related complainant's department". Even if just a bluff it does tend to get results.

That's how I got some tyres replaced outside of warranty after 40,000km which exploded whilst driving. I researched the regulatory authority for the importation of automotive tyred in the UAE and as soon as I drop the name on the tyre importer he immediately offered to replace them foc and he also now gives me tyres at a great price for the Audi.

Not sure how things are done in Canada, but here in the past I have contacted PCNA and they have sometimes helped out.  The other thing is how well do you know the Service Manager, if you go there a lot, they help you out, if you are there once in a while, they could care less.

I know I got PCNA to kick in 3,000 dollars for a major repair well out of warranty, and only because I was a good customer over the years going there for oil changes, etc.
