K-Line connection for ECU reading Help needed

Recommended Posts

Hi.
I´m new to Porsche, but have some experience with BMW´s and reprogramming ECUs. However, I have never get into K-line connection (always used OBD2 read/write), and don´t want to screw my new (new for me...) Porsche.
I´m trying to reach 300 HP with it (I have done may mods already, but without a custom repro will never get even close to this goal).
I have bought a Kess V2 interface, but my ECU is 7.8.1, which needs K-line reading.
Has anyone ever read this ecu (I think it´s the same of some 996/997), with K-line ?
If so, anyone can help with pinouts and K-line connections?
Thanks in advance.

Dave.-

Thanks a lot!. However, I guess this is a DLC connector pinout. I am looking for an ECU pinout, hopefully with a picture of the ECU with pinout.

Sadly, my programming tool is only able to read 987´s ECU directly from the ECU, and not through the DLC connector.  This very weird by the way, ´cause Kess V2 is one of the most developed programming tools out there, and quite a few other boxes claim to read the ecu from the DLC (Unless they are cheating us, and they use "virtual reading" technique), which could explain why the others force you to connect to the web...

Have a nice christmas!!!
