Engine/Transmision seal sweating

Hi All,

 

I'm looking at a 2008 Cayman base and the PPI report shows "engine/trans seal sweat". Technician mentioned that this is common to see this on an aged Porsche and is not a concern at the moment.  

 

Anyone else have experience with this?

I would tend to agree. While it is always best to have zero leaks a drop or two per week is nothing I would be concerned about.

My 996 Rear Main Seal (RMS) leaked about a drop a week for 5 or 6 years. I never repaired it nor did it leak enough to require adding any oil between oil changes.

Of course if leaks more it would need to be dealt with.
