Durametric not seeing Targa Module

I have a 2002 996 Targa.  Trying to figure out an issue with my Targa Top.  I plugged in the Durametric with the ignition switch on but not running.  The durametric will not see my Targa Module.  Am I doing something wrong or not correctly?  Any help is appreciated.

According to Durametric's published model and feature matrix, it should be able to read or clear codes for the Targa roof, but that's about it: Model and feature matrix
