Where is the fuse for the SAI pump?

Recommended Posts

Hi all

ON a 2016 Macan Turbo - where is the fuse for the secondary air injection pump? I'm getting a P0411 code, pulled SAI pump and it tested good with 12V. Thinking maybe fuse is gone, but I don't see it in the owner's manual. That shows 3 fuseboxes, passenger and driver dash right inside the door, and one in the trunk

It looks like there's something underneath the kick panel?

Thanks

Sam

OK, I'm back. I would like to know why these things are closely guarded secrets to Porsche

I pulled the fuse and checked it - it was fine. Cleaned it off, put it back, cleared the codes. Of course the code is back a week later, since I didn't fix anything, but I always hope...

My wiring diagram shows a SAI relay in the plenum box, my parts catalog shows relays in the plenum box, but I can't find where the relay is, or exactly which is the SAI relay

I found some Audi Q5 info on the plenum box (which appears to be physically identical) which shows it as position 'C', which would be Relay position 3 on the Macan. Don't know how confident I am in that, though.

Does anyone happen to know either where the SAI relay is, or what its part number is?

Thanks

Sam

  • 2 weeks later...

Follow up in case someone has the same issue - changing the relay didn't do anything either. I did read where some owners got this code and it turned out to be the ground wire. Mine seemed fine, but I took it off, cleaned it up, and re-snugged it. After that, I was able to run the pump in test mode. So far, CEL has not come back!

Thanks for your help, Loren
