Central Flap Motor Error

Recommended Posts

I decided to scan my car the other day with my Foxwell scanner just to see if any errors showed up. The last time that I scanned it was sometime last fall and no errors were present. When I scanned it today the only error that I got was a central flap motor error. I tried clearing it but it keeps coming back. When I run the diagnostic checks on the other flaps they all have values which change.  When I run it on the central flap there are no values, so I take it that there is no power detected there? My climate control system seems to be working OK but not sure what the central flap does? I can get both warm and cold air? The only thing that I can think of is that I sent my climate control unit off this winter to have a new screen put in. For some reason they didn't send the exact unit back that I sent in. I know this because I had to tape the label back on the top of mine. I did take a photo of both and the numbers look the same. Where is this motor located and does anyone have any ideas what could cause this error, other than a bad motor?  Could I have received a bad climate control unit?  I don't see any specific fuses or relays for the central flap motor.  Is there something else to look for?
