Glove Box Hinge changed for 2005?

Recommended Posts

I just replaced my black console in my 996 for a carbon fiber one from a 2005 Turbo. The old glove box door is supposed to go through a couple of eyelets on the console which holds the back of the door at the hinge point. The new console does not have these eyelets so the pivot point is not properly attached. Does anyone know if there was a change in the glove box hionge design for 2005? If so,m is there a new glove box door especialy for 2005? Thanks for the info. Eli
