This is part of a paragraph from a "European Car" magazine review of the '02 996 that I found surfing the net:

Then there's the Advanced Technic Package, its $3,240 delivering the contents of the Technic Package (Bi-xenon HID headlamps--high intensity for both high and low beams--headlamp washers and in-dash CD player) plus a new Bose digital sound system with 12 speakers and a remote CD changer.

Depends upon the year. The packages changed year to year. In 2002 you could order the Technic OR the Advanced Technic package. In 2004 you could order the Technic, Advanced Technic or both the Technic and Advanced Technic together.

for 2002:
