Rear bumper stainless steel trim plate removal?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

i made a very small dent on the stainless steel trim plate right above the rear bumper cover, does any one know how to remove it so i can repair it? Are there any bolts or if the plate is just double side taped on?

Many thanks!

Willy

I've resurrected this old thread hoping that somebody has found a nicer trim plate to replace this ugly satin-coat finished one with.

If not, I'm considering having it removed and painted however I have a feeling that the coating won't hold up all that well; given the heavy traffic. Carbon Fiber maybe?:help:

one option;

buff it to a nice shine !

I did mine and it looks really good now

David

Thanks David. I guess that would be an option that I have yet to explore. At least it would match the chrome exhaust tips!

Just the same, I'm surprised that Tequipment doesn't have a replacement panel in CF or anothr custom color.
