Help with cd changer

Recommended Posts

Hi

Just joined this forum and i´m picking up my first porsche, a 2003 carrera coupe, 22 k km ina a couple of weeks. The car has PCM with a front cd entrance and i´m thinking of adding the cd changer . Porsche wants about 800 € for the cd but i can get a becker silverstone 6 disk cd changer, new for about 300 € . Is it compatible? How hard is it to install? Does the space in the boot already wired for the changer or do i have to buy the cables?

Thanks

:welcome:

No, for a MY2003 car you will need a MOST (fiber optic) compatible CD changer. The Porsche designation is CDC-4. You occasionally see them on eBay.

Thank you for your swift answer . This seems like a very nice forum and believe me the standard is high because I was in the mini2 forum ( still have a 2003 Mini Cooper S ) and that was an excelent community
