Rattling drivers side door

Recommended Posts

Got a MY02 996 Targa, and have a relatively annoying rattle from the drivers side door. Emptied out the little cubby hole, and it wasnt that. Did notice though that if i push on the carpeted area of the door below the cubby hole flap, the vibration goes away

Anyone had this before? Is it a case of maybe removing that part of the door and check theres nothing flapping about?

I have the same rattle on my 99C2 Cab. It sounds like a spring buzzing or rattling and is very annoying. I test drove a Turbo recently with the same noise and very much worse than mine. I think it's probably a loose piece of the window mechanism - I'll bet Porsche know what it is as it seems so common.

Do let me know if you solve.

John
