Ojancke, are you aware that the PSE connects to the DME? I don't know if this helps you.

Do you have Sport Chrono?

I don´t really know what PSE or DME is but on the 996 you you could bypass one pin from the sport exhaust relay and you were able to switch between loud and "silent".

The sport exhaust is very recomandable (for Germany) but in sport mode it´s very silent between 30 and 70km/h.

I did´t order Sport Chrono...

Just remove and plug the vacuum hoses to the exhaust actuators.

On the 987 there is not a relay anymore, it is controlled by the DME. If you want to have the exhaust in the loud position all of the time, just unplug the electrical connector from the vacuum valve switch that controls the exhaust flapper valve.

I did this yesterday and it seems to have also re-mapped the throttle. I experimented in the following way:

1) Disconnect plug and started car. Exhaust system is in loud mode and stays loud (does not close after s few seconds)

2) With "Sport" mode OFF, I depressed the throttle until engine was at 1000rpm.

3) I pressed the Sport mode button and the setting was activated.

4) Upon checking the RPM, I noticed that it still remained at 1000rpm.

Also, while driving the car on the road, it seems that the throttle is more responsive. In the past, I was unable to drive the car well in Sport Mode as I am new to stick shift driving.

Can anyone confirm this?

Cheers!

George
