  3. It seems to be a problem with the temperature - & + buttons. The temperature doesn’t go up and down like it should it seems to jump instead of going up 0.1 0C with each press. This happened just after I cleaned the unit with window cleaner!
  4. I’m pretty sure everyone here has had that! Pretty easy fix. Search for 986 hvac lcd.
  5. Has anyone had the same problem with their climate control display, where the segments randomly disappear. If so is there a fix?
  6. Thank you Loren 4928 is correct. my radio is now working again.
  7. Whilst I'm chasing down a few faults, I have come across an issue which can't be answered by me and/or few others... Transmission box in all 955 (Q7/Touareg and maybe 957) are an Aisin TR-60SN. There also appears to be 3 different types albeit all are under the same code of TR-60SN, one type is known as 2-port, other 3-port and last one doesn't appear to have a name as far as I can see so lets call it X-port. The Valve Body of these looks as below (understood and extracted from an older post here - https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...erences.html): ''X-port'' 3-port 2-port As you can see above, the ''X-port'' version has 2 two gold colour ***** which are the pressure sensors however the other two do not. another photo of what I'm assuming is another X-port below and diagram from Aisin indicating where the pressure sensors/switches are: ''X-port'' Diagram from Aisin My problem begins here... I am trying to fix a code 17225/P0841 Oil Pressure Switch 1 Transmission open circuit/short circuit to B+. I have carried out the following: - Inspection of all wires running in the footwell both sides - Making good any corroded connections - Inspection of connectors on the body of the transmission box - Changing the fluid and filter of the transmission box - Ensuring enough ATF is in the box All above were suggestions by other users on here and different places. However the problem remains. I have now ordered the pressure sensor to change this HOWEVER having looked at the photos of the valve body I took when I did the ATF flush and filter change, it appears I have a X-port transmission which does not have the gold pressure sensors/switches, basing it on earlier photos above I have a 2-port TR-60SN but the location of the pressure sensors/switches are unknown. To add to this, if looking at the diagram from Aisin it reads ''some models only'' underneath the pressure sensors/switches. What I'm trying to figure out is: A) Are there any actual pressure sensors/switches in a 2-port TR-60SN box? I'd expect so as I always thought an auto-box needs to know pressure to switch gears etc. (although I can be wrong) B) Where are these pressure sensors/switches? Any help/ideas will be appreciated. P.S. - the car is a Oct 2005 build, however the code on the transmission box itself reads 230806 which can mean the transmission box has been changed at some point in the last 20 years. Photos from my valve body and transmission box's plaque below:
  8. According to Pelican Parts you just tap them out. "If the stud is broken off in the head, you can remove the head and extract it. Then install new stud / helicoil if needed. - Nick at Pelican Parts" "Use a screwdriver to tap out old manifold bolt and press new one in." "They are held in with rubber grommets. Just push them out. - Nick at Pelican Parts"
  9. that did it thank you!

  13. Thank you so much. My radio is working again. Amazing!
  14. I would stick with the OEM part as Porsche upgraded the clutch spring assembly several times.
  15. Try 3756
  16. Try 2587
  17. My clutch return spring assembly is starting to go. It's squeaking pretty bad and now it's making some bad rubbing noises when I push it down all the way. I'm not super fond of how light and disengaged the feel of the pedal is, so I'd like to change the spring out to the lighter spring that you can get from McMaster-Carr. Should I buy a whole new assembly and put the spring in the new assembly, or just pop it in my existing unit. I'm not sure if the noises/feel I'm getting from the current one is related exclusively to the spring or not. Any advice would be appreciated before I take time to swap this out and then deal with the same squeaks and rubbing noises. TIA!

  21. @Lorenthank you it worked 🙏
  22. Thanks for the tip! The order hasn't shipped yet so I'll see what I can get that altered.
  23. If you haven't already, change the oil cooler order to the "S" model; that cooler is nearly twice the size of the base cooler and fits right in. Once of the best longevity mods you can do to one of these engines .
  24. Some good news! It appears the oil cooler leaks like sieve. I have a new one on order.
  25. Thank you so much, the code worked
  26. Try 4328
