  3. Had to get a new radio due to the old one failing to accept the code. New radio serial is 15001850 Any idea for the code? Thanks in advance.
  4. Thanks but I don't do any aftermarket "improvements" whatsoever and remove along the way as I go any "improvements" the stupid mechanics did do previously. I go strictly by the factory PET catalog to a single screw and washer.
  5. Velcro strip and secure to the side wall carpet, like the single quart oil pouch. Just a thought. -John
  6. Does anyone know how to replace the visor back into it's original position? My husband pulled it out not knowing that they aren't supposed to turn towards the door window and the clip looks like it's not able to open. I didn't want to force it and risk breaking anything. Is there a trick? Thanks!

  8. For some reason my 0 doesn't work. Any ideas? Maybe I need a new radio?
  9. Try 0748
  10. Good afternoon everyone, Im the second owner of a 1999 boxster. The manual is missing and im looking for a radio code. Radio CDR-220 Type 4462 Serial X5021377 Thanks in advance for any help.
  11. No factory engine numbers started with 63F so it can be hard to determine what modifications have been done. A 2.7 liter would have been factory installed - but those engines were easy to upgrade to 3.0 or even 4.0 liters (with head stud replacements and different cylinders). Further investigation would be need to determine what is in the car now.
  12. Try 3098
  13. That is not a radio that is a PCM. Can you give me a code for my PCM? These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/OPC. The PCM’s require two codes, the ICS/Siemens code, and a Becker code. The ICS is the first code requested. Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM code is from a dealer/OPC
  14. Just bought my first Porsche! Previous owner changed the battery, but didn't have the code. CDR 220 Becker 1 Type: 4462 Serial: Y5034837 Thanks, Dave
  15. My car 1977 Targa 9117201966 has been heavily modified and converted to 993 turbo look cab I am trying to figure out which engine was installed in the car Engine number is 63F03248
  16. The 996 Owner's Manual refers for the air compressor for C4 all-wheel drive only stored in the spare wheel storage while the PET parts catalog states the air compressor comes with any 996 C2 or C4. I had bought my 996.2 C2 Cabrio used with no air compressor with it and bought it separately. It had a sticker that it came from a 986 Boxster donor car. There are no 4WD 986 Boxsters; all of them are having same spare as 996 C2. Is there a designated storage for it in C2/Cabrio/Targa? In front of the CD Changer? Or in the spare wheel cover in the pocket?
  17. Please give me the code for a Porsche 911 996 radio from 2000. I bought the radio and the owner didn't give me the code.
  18. Lost Radio Codes DO NOT START A NEW TOPIC FOR A LOST RADIO CODE. DO NOT EMAIL ADMINS. Please read the Lost Radio Code FAQ FIRST before posting - then post in the one thread. This topic is closed.
  19. Bi Loren can you help me Boxter 1998 radio code for becker cdr210 R2896 V 500640 1. ? Thank you Ds
  20. I need help, I have a 2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo, the AC stopped working suddenly I checked the freon and it was okay I noticed the condensers fans were not on, I thought they were gone however I let the vehicle run and the fans came on when the vehicle got hot, but not when the AC was on, what tells that fence to come on when the AC is on? Does anyone knows? Please help
  21. Hey, despite all of my research, I can’t find a conclusive answer. I have a 2003 C4, my top keeps trying to latch way to early (about 9” away from the windshield). Started about a week ago (Had the car almost 2 years without problem). Opens up fine, and I can close it with the latch finally latching at the right place after 4-5 cycle of latching/unlatching/moving closer. I have no codes using Piwis, did a calibration in april with success, now calibration goes all the way and works fine but ends with error code: 11060: Communication with control unit failed. Also at the beginning of the calibration, it says: Function active, end position not reached Driver side potentiometer is new as of april ( p/o had stripped the bolts and it was loose and ate up the plastic of the old one). Tried another latch assembly and top control module with no success. Got ideas? I’m new with Piwis, and can’t find why I can’t succeed the calibration. Thanks!
  22. Just finished dealing with the frunk emergency release on a 2003 996 and this thread was helpful, so I wanted to share the result: 1) The vehicle was sold in the US, left-hand drive. The emergency release was on the passenger side. I don't know if that is always the case. 2) The cable was *far* forward of the wheel. So far in I can't figure out how to get a picture of it. And it is not visible from below. 3) We did not have to remove the wheel, only the inner liner above and in front of the wheel. 4) The cable had a loop at the end, and we hooked it with a wire coat hanger. And then used vise grips to pull it back. 5) See picture. It's not great but the best I could do. Follow the coat hook to the cable loop (loop not visible). 6) Celebrate with drink of your choice. Then go buy a new battery. Hope that helps!
  23. What test pressure are you seeing when you attach a mechanical gauge in place of the pressure sender? Are you seeing the presence of ANY ferrous metal specs in your oil filter or oil?
  24. The engine makes a tic-tic noise from some hydraulic lifters, only when the engine is running for a while above 3,000 rpm (on the highway, for example). After replacing all the hydraulic lifters, the noise has improved somewhat, but the noise still persists, so I think it must be an oil pressure problem at high rpm. I also replaced the oil pump relief valve. Any ideas what it could be, what I should check, and how? This noise from the hydraulic lifters started after repairing a water-oil mixture problem, so I think the water must have affected some component.
  25. You can evacuate the system, and recharge it along with a small amount of UV dye, which will leave a tell tale dye mark at the source of the leak(s).
  26. Hi Zuppa93 - what did you find out? I'm in the same situations. Bought the car with no AC, I put it under a vacuum for 30 minutes and added 2 small cans and the AC worked for a few weeks. So i have a leak small enough that it passes the vacuum test (watched it hold for 30 minutes) but big enough to run out in a few weeks. Now i've got warm air and hissing through the vents up front. Before i did anything there was simply no AC and no noise from vents. I suspect me condensers are shot and leaking (they look original (i did remove the bumper and clean them when i bougth the car)). I'm just thrown by the hissing noise...
