  2. Took the 987 to SOS European today. Branden tested with the PWIS and confirmed the fog lights worked, but the switch didn’t. Fortunately, I bought a switch on eBay and it worked fine. All is good now
  3. Yesterday
  4. That was it! Thank you!
  5. Try 3531
  6. I have lost the code for this radio in my 2000 Boxter. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance
  7. Looking for preferably a black hardtop for 2000 Boxter located within 200 miles of Seattle Washington
  8. Last week
  9. Many times the servo is not bad but the foam from the flaps has deteriorated and jammed their movement. I would check that first then rest the codes and test before actually replacing any servos.
  10. I've read myself cross-eyed trying to find out how to replace the passenger side servo motor on my 04CTT. The symptom is hot air coming out of the dash vent on PX side, cool on the driver side. When I close the passenger dash vents, the driver side get hotter so the hot air is bleeding into the driver side (LHD). My AC codes are: 2100 - Footwell flap 2101 - side blower 1810 - drive motor temp valve 710 - defrost flap 1299 - implausible signal I have an Alpine 507 stero installed which is the cause for a few other implausible signals elsewhere so I'm less concerned there unless I am optimistic in my assessment. All I have been able to locate on the PX side is the bottom most servo; the footwell servo I believe. I'm looking for direction on how to replace the servo, ideally with pix, and welcome any other feedback. I'm sure there is a link out there detailing this procedure but I have not gotten the correct search query to populate. Thank you in advance.
  11. Possible stuck injector(s). Check your fuel pressure and for misfires.
  12. Is the HPFP leaking fuel into the oil a possible thing? I'm pretty convinced I have oil dilution and I'm examining possibilities. I am going to check & clean the injectors as a first step, but I'm considering the HPFP could be leaking the fuel directly into the oil. Anyone heard of this type of failure?

  14. Try 9641
  15. I didn't get a code card with my car, and I just replaced the battery and now locked out.... I've got a CDR-210 Becker R 2896 Serial number V5008 184 Thanks!
  16. It work! Thank you so much!
  17. Is this the Purge valve in the engine bay?
  18. No the car no accident, i check the relay starter I checked carefully and it reaches 86 minus constant from the ecm, according to (elsa win )that should only take a minus when engine of maby the ecm is defect the give minos all the way to the relay starter bin86. tnx to help
  19. What is your goal? More horsepower? Better sound? You are not going to get much more horsepower out of a normally aspirated Porsche. Maybe 30 BHP with all those options. That's a lot of money for very little that you will feel. For sound nothing beats or matches the Porsche PSE system to my ears. I would rather listen to a good PSE than the radio.
  20. I don't see why it wouldn't work, but overspeed pulley adds a complication and potential future failure point that the fixed pulley does not have.
  21. I have a 2000 tip base and appears to be a fixed type pulley with the nut. Can a freewheel style pulley be put on in place of a fixed (for a Tiptronic), or do I need to reorder a fixed pulley?
  22. Took the belt off and ran it for a few seconds. Chirp completely gone. Ordered a set of pulleys and a new alternator pulley, and belt.
  23. I disconnect the GPS antenna permanently. The date is ok now. But once the car battery is replaced, i will have to repeat the whole process again to set the date.
  24. Good morning Loren, Had a very quiet drive this AM after swapping out my radio display. CR-220 type: 4362 SN: Y5021762 Thanks in advance, RP
  25. Hi All, I have a 2008 987.1 Boxster 2.7l, which I use as a daily and for spirited driving – but not track use, here in the United Kingdom. Needing to pull on your expertise.. I’ve spent hours trying to understand a few things at once, but not getting very far..!! forgive me if I make a hash of explaining my questions.. I’m going to need to change out my headers and exhaust soon, followed by a plenum upgrade and ECU stage 2. My car has the PSE system – which I’ve grown to like as there are times and occasions when quieter or louder are appropriate. I’d like to get a setup which, I understand, is a ‘valved’ system. Are there valved systems which can be connected up to the existing PSE to be able to operate from the switch just like the original system? If so.. please can you tell me of any systems which would work? I understand my car has 4 catalytic converters.. each side having one built into the headers, and one in the ‘back box’ section – is this correct? Are the header-cats known as the PRIMARY cats, and the back box cats ..the SECONDARY cats? Is a ‘DECAT’ exhaust meaning a CATBACK system which does not have cats in the back boxes? Is it possible to fit headers without cats – that would still pass an MOT, or is it a case of getting what I’ve read about.. 200 cell cat headers? What would be the preferred complete set up? No header cats? No back box cats? Are different manufacturers of headers and cat back exhausts using THE SAME dimension pipework? I’ve probably not been very concise, but hopefully you ‘get’ what I’m after.. ideally I’d like to get some headers and exhaust which sound nice, fit together size-wise, reduce where possible restrictive cats, is valved and can be connected to original PSE vacuums/wiring etc.. but also that will be beneficial for a planned plenum upgrade (deciding between 74mm and 82mm with GT3 throttle body) and ECU stage 2.. hopefully, all brought together to work complementing each other by some tuning wizard who I haven’t located yet..!! I do like the sound of the Borel exhaust – but I don’t think that is a valved system. I’d like to get something which sounds deep and throaty – like a 1980’s air-cooled 911..LOL.. , rather than high-pitched and raspy. Any insights, recommendations or general advise or help I’d be really grateful for, please. Many thanks 😊
