  1. For my 2005 Cayenne S, after ran a backup camera wire from the headliner to the from, I found this metal clip on the floor on the floor on the driver side rear seat. Possible came of from the B Pillar or in that area. Does anyone know what this piece is? Please see attach picture.
  2. Replaced my PCM2.1 with a Pioneer Carplay radio + Scosche interface. After everything setup, found the Night Illumination doesn't work. After contacted tech support of the Scosche, I was told that the Night Illumination feature does not work for US models of the vehicle. I need to identify a wire behind the radio that has the headlight on signal so I may able to tap the new radio's Illumination into it. Does anyone know or have done this before? that can tell me which wire I could use? Thanks. George
  3. Hi Loren, Do you have a shop you can recommend in the San Francisco Bay Area? Thanks.
  4. All 12V outlets have power when the car is turn off on my 2005 Cayenne S. When I setup my V1 15 years ago, I use the fuse power from the right side fuse box for the air suspension. Last year, I added and used the the same connection for my dash cam as well.
  5. Both of covers of where I hang the luggage net are broken in the back of the D pillar. Can someone direct me for a replacement. I searched and see there may be an update version (without the cover) in the newer models. Mine is a 2005 Cayenne S with Grey interior color. See attached pictures. Thank you for any help. George
  6. 8 years from the original fix (crimped) and later (soldiered) the wire, the error never come back. So I would confirm that it is a permanent fix.
  7. The Update DVD Kit arrived today. Followed the TSB instruction and everything went smoothly well. After that, the exclamation mark of the Amplifier is gone. Tested everything and found no other issue. Thank you for everyone that helped me on this. My map has been updated from 2004 to 2015.
  8. Hi Richard, I checked the version of the Amplifier software of and found an exclamation mark next to the Amplifier (see images). Should I have proceed the normal update or you mention there is an method to modify the update CD to bypass the Amp? The version number is way lower than your suggested 0017500, but this is a Cayenne, not a 997. Thanks.
  9. I took the assembly apart and found there is a pivot knob on the right side of the tray was broken off. Luckily I found the piece and used some strong glue to hold them back together. I searched and found this a common problem and Porsche doesn't sell the part, only the whole assembly for few hundred dollars .
  10. Thank you for you guys' clarification before placing the order. BTW, how am I able to check what version is my Bose Amp? Last question, I was told the update CD P/N 000.043.205.47.002 is part of the PCM update kit. Now the current release is 2015/2016 P/N 997-044-904-51. My dealer told me that the update CD for 2.1a to 2.1b is not part of it. Is that true?
  11. I have heard that the firmware update from PCM2.1a to 2.1b people had issue if the PCM is equipped with the Bose system. Has anyone successfully updated the firmware by following the instruction of the TSB for their vehicle with Bose? Thanks.
  12. Loren, Have the TSP ever posted for the upgrade instructions for bring the 2005 PCM 2.1A to 2.1B? I am looking into update my 12 years old DVD to the new map. Thanks. George
  13. 2005 Cayenne S with black interior. The lighter socket no longer pops up when the ashtray draw opens. Seems like something is broken underneath the lighter socket. Do I need the whole tray with light socket assembly? or a smaller part to fix it . Thank you for any help. George
  14. 2005 Cayenne S, 11 years of ownership, not 100% problem free. I LOVE my Cayenne. If I plan to switch another all purpose vehicle, it will be another Cayenne.
