    I have a MY99 Carrera - 6 speed and this is what I use: Engine oil / maker - Mobil1 0W-40 or 5W-40 Oil filter / maker - Porsche factory Transaxle oil / maker - Mobil (Mobilube PTX) 75W-90 Spark plug / maker - Beru or Bosch 14FRG 6KQU The one I would caution you on is the transmission/transaxle oil - lots of issue with non-Porsche recommended brands. I would definitely stick with Porsche approved transmission/transaxle oils.

These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/ OPC. The PCM’s require two codes, the ICS/Siemens code and a Becker code. The ICS is the first code requested. Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM code is from a dealer/ OPC. "

    All the (factory) knobs I have seen for 6 speeds are one of two types. One type is just push on and off. It has a sleeve that gets worn. The other type has a single hex setscrew at the base of the knob to hold it tight on the flat of the shifter. This often can come loose and I usually put a little Loctite on the setscrew to keep it from vibrating loose again.
