  1. About to buy a set of 4 of these tires on 1 Sep. Had bought these (similar) for both of my Dodge Stealth's RT/TT and they were great. Appreciate any feedback.
  2. Two of these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-Boxster-Driver-Left-Headlight-Assembly-AUTOMOTIVE-LIGHTING-98663113114-/350866013299?fits=Year%3A2003|Make%3APorsche|Model%3ABoxster|Submodel%3AS|Engine+-+Liter_Display%3A3.2L&hash=item51b13e7c73:g:PMEAAOSweWVXc2gS&vxp=mtr
  3. Bought new headlight assembly's a couple months ago. Have the owners manual and locked them down per instructions. However, after driving a while they seem to come lose. Help?
  4. Bit the bullet and ordered a set of Bilstein B6's
  5. Thanks Loren. Will be contacting Wheel Enhancement myself...love my optional Carrera 18" wheels on my 03 Boxster S. :-)
  6. That it is. I spent 20+ years in the military and even in that environment it is hard to accomplish. p.s. Ordering a Bentley manual as well..might as well learn how to do more myself....so much easier when I owned and worked on a 64 Ford Galaxie 500..a 68 Mustang..a 71 Mach 1..**** ex wives..lost them all.
  7. Thanks will be ordering new caliper bolts. Thanks for being at least one person here who responds to posts by new Porsche owners without condescending opinions.

  9. Same here. Was just looking at them. The reviews I read about them came from other car forums like Honda, Subaru, toyota, etc...seemed to work there but they are not Porsche!
  10. Any thoughts/suggestions/comments on buying these struts for my 03 Boxster S? Before you go bashing me for looking at less expensive struts, please take into account I am a retired military (enlisted)/disabled vet (unemployable due to PTSD) on a fixed income. STAGG SHS 4 SHOCKS STRUTS PORSCHE BOXSTER 986 97 98 99 00 01- 04 incl. BOXSTER S On Ebay. I want to go with the B6 Bilstein but a bit pricey for me right now. Cheapest quote I got was 200/224 front/rear each. TIA. Gunny.
  11. Thanks! I'll give that a try. I just ordered a new connector from Pelican #999-650-150-40 ($9.75). Hoping the wiring to the connector is some sort of simple plug-in type arrangement that won't require a lot of soldering, but I'm probably wrong. I have only been a 1st time Porsche owner for 32 days now. This site is INVALUABLE! Learn more and more everyday! Consider a contribution. This site has saved me some $$! Wow. That's great news. Glad to hear the site has saved you $$ in your first 32 days as a Porsche owner. I was going to paypal a contribution, but if my posts are going to be spammed with pleas for money, maybe not. Plenty of other forums out there... Not spamming...

  13. Buy a set of clear lenses...really? Not worth this trouble.
  14. See my post on this issue. It was a loose connector in the bracket...Took it out and plugged directly into the headlight assembly (There is enough slack in the wire to do so) and works like a charm.
  15. An rather expensive lesson but without this forum it would have been much more. The issue was a cracked headlight connector (did not feel loose the first few times I checked it but maybe removing the headlight assembly so many times in an attempt to figure it out caused it). Removed from the bracket, plugged directly into assembly (On a tip I read here) and all is good. At least I have two new headlight assembly's and they look rather smashing. Many thanks to this forum. Contributions will continue.
  16. I have done that as well. Has to be something in the assembly wiring.
  17. Me too. Will let you know tomorrow eve after the part comes in.
  18. Installed the new headlight switch to no avail. Does the same thing. Bite the bullet and ordered a new headlight assembly.
  19. Ordered a new headlight switch from Pelican. I will attempt to install myself. Loren has a nice simple guide here :-) Thanks roger for the tip.
  20. 1st time Porsche owner. 2003 Boxster S with 107K miles, triptronic trans. Bought all new headlight assembly bulbs (Philips H7 Ultra Clear Blue Tip halogens) Passenger side swap. No problem works great. Driver side - Headlights will not go out of daytime running lamp mode. No low beam lights nor high beam. When I use the turn signal the actual headlamp blinks, not the turn signal and goes very quick. Not even fog lamp works. Put back in the old bulbs, still same issue. Checked fuses and all good. Thinking it is the main headlight assembly plug not seating (Used compressed air to clear out dust on male/female ends) or something else. Not an electrical genius. Any help is appreciated.
  21. Nevermind folks. Got the info and data sheet directly from my local Porsche dealer!
