  1. Got it working, just needed a seperate ground. It is a 12 volt signal. Any idea on what wire color is the 5 volt potentiometer sensor for the E-gas?
  2. Loren, any idea on a 12 volt rpm signal? Violet/Green is a 5 volt signal which does not work with Traqmate :-( This is for a 2003 996 C2 Thanks A coil or fuel injector pulse would work fine
  3. I like the Cup lip better, it looks like it is a bit deeper and stays deep around the sides more. Loren, my experience has been that most parts through Motor sports are CHEAPER, just expect to wait and wait and wait and half the time give up and get the same part from the dealer for 25-50% more
  4. Loren, any info on poly or solid alum bushings for GT3 bars.
  5. The X74 is for the C2 and the X73 is for the C4 Cab is a flexible chassis and the stiff suspension will cause more twist when goign over bumps. It may eventually bend the frame a bit out of alignment, but no different than if you put in any other performance suspension. I have an X74 kit I pulled out of my car, has only 500 miles on it. Email me if you are interested. newmane@univsystems.com
  6. Sounds like it may be the beginning of the end. 996 trannys have a weak 1-2 syncro set. If you search the forum you will find a bunch of posts on it. Don't go back to Porsche, they will try and sell you a whole new tranny. Powerhaus (google it) has a cost effective repair kit.
  7. If you check out club races in the Noreast you will find 3 to 5 996's in C. Just Riesentoter region has 3 996's in the C class. 2003 996 C2 with X51 with 6000 track miles and running strong. This oil change I am going to start doing oil analysis so I can better gauge the life of the engine. 6000 miles translates out to at least 60 hours which is the life span of a Cup car engine. I hope to get 10k on it.
  8. Ok, found the difference... the spacing on the caliper bolt holes is slightly larger (less than 1/4"). Just enough that they do have to be changed.
  9. Ok, here is another good one. I am in the process of upgrading my brakes to GT3 MkII (04-05). Everyone told me I needed to buy the GT3 front uprights and associated bearings, bearing car, etc. in addition to the calipers, rotors and pads. Today, I took off the "C2" uprights and low and behold I cannot find a **** difference on them that would make the brakes not work with them. There are some very minor machining differences on how the inner brake dust shield mounts, but the caliper bolt holes are the same size, on the same centers and the same distance from the wheel hub. Everything lines up exactly the same. My calipers should be here on Tuesday so I guess I will know 100% then. Any one know of any differences????

    RS Flywheel

Karl, does this flywheel also fit the M96 motors? I have heard conflicting answers.
  11. Ok, here is one to rack your brains on... I just purchased a TraqMate data logger system with the accessory input module. I would like to hook up RPM, Throttle Position, Brake (on/off) and air/fuel. The system has a trigger input for RPM and analog voltage measuring inputs for the others. They can be set to 0-5, 0-10 or 0-20 volts DC. My question is where to get the signals. I heard there is a pin on the OBD-II connector for the RPM, but what about the others? Brakes are easy by using the brake light, but is there an easy place in the cockpit to tap into it? Throttle and mixture are the two that I have no good idea where to start. I don't want to fry my computer so I am not keen on guessing. Anyone have info? Ed
