  1. What is the part number for a storage bin that would replace the CD holder (above the AC controls in my '04 C4S)? I thought I saw this posted recently, but I can't find it. I have the natural gray interior, if that makes a difference.
  2. Are the RE 750s N rated (approved by Porsche)? I have them on my BMW 540, and I like them.
  3. If you have the coupe, your sub will be on the back deck; if you have the cab, it's in the footwell. You can make some improvements w/o replacing everything. The Bose speakers are not very good; just putting some better speakers in helps a lot. The Bose speakers are 2 ohm for front, door and rear, and 1 ohm for the subs. The Bose amp will run 4 ohm speakers just fine, but you need fairly efficient speakers as you are only going to get about 25 watts per channel. Focals seem pretty popular; I used Infinity Kappas. If you want to hear bass on the highway, you will also need to add an amp for the subs. This won't get you the same quality as putting in an entirely new system, but it sounds a lot better than the stock system and maintains the interface with the OBC and instrument display.
  4. I've been mixing the 100 and 91 to get up to or above the recommended 93 minimum. I'm not sure if I could tell the difference, but I figure I might as well follow the manufacturer's recommendation.
  5. Looks like very nice stuff, but I think it contrasts too dramatically with the light gray interior.
  6. I started to pull out the rear seat backs and rear side trim panels yesterday, and had a couple of questions. (this is a '04 C4S coupe) I removed the bolt in between the seats, expecting that I could then remove the seat backs by simply pulling them out. However, that didn't seem to work. It felt like there was a rod that went all the way through both seats, and I was reluctant to bend it much. Is there a bolt or something on the sides that also needs to be removed as well? If so, where is it? Similar question on the rear side trim panels. I removed the seat peg, pulled up from the bottom, and the trim panel seemed to be mostly free, but still attached at the top below the window. I expected it to pop out, but whatever was holding at the top was stronger than the force I wanted to exert. Is there something else that needs to be removed, or do I just need to pull harder?
  7. If tht doesn't work, let me know. I think I have still have the instructions in the bag with the the small hardware pieces for my rack.
  8. I have an extra gloss black button if someone needs it (my buttons are matte and I initially ordered the wrong one).
  9. I used a torx L-key (http://www.altex.com/product_info.php?cPath=23_27_123&products_id=987).
  10. Suncoast Porsche has them on sale for $24.95. I'm putting mine on tomorrow. : )
  11. Anything magic about removing a tiptronic shift knob? I don't see any set screws. I did see a message indicating that the manual shift knob just pulls off; is that true for the tip shift knob as well? (adding a little more carbon to the interior)
